Grants for organisations
We have concluded awarding our recent COVID-response grants through the Women's Sector Resilience Fund and COVID-19 Frontline Women's Fund . Funding of more than £2.4 million has been awarded in November and December - a statistical overview can be found here.
Future funding rounds for women's sector organisations will be launched shortly.
Grants for individuals – how to apply
We want to reassure everyone that we are very much open and fully focused on supporting as many women as possible during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Applications for individual grants will re-open in the New Year.
During these unprecedented times, we understand that many women are facing extremely challenging situations. If you are worried about your income, employment or wellbeing, we encourage you to visit the following link to check your eligibility and see if we can help through our grants to individuals programme: https://www.smallwoodtrust.org.uk/flexible-response-fund
Government guidelines and response times
In compliance with government guidelines, our small team is all working from home so we encourage you to email all communications to: info@smallwoodtrust.org.uk or you can call us on 0300 365 1886.
For those without internet access, we will still use the postal service to send and receive applications as long as we are able to, given the everchanging situation.
We are committed to responding as quickly as possible but please bear with us during this period as application volumes and enquiries are likely to increase and during busy times it may take us a little longer to respond. Our grants team will inform you of processing times when you apply.
Additional support and information
We have announced a partnership with Glasspool Charity Trust that will distribute essential needs grants directly to women on low incomes via community partners. Existing grants
Our full focus is on funding and supporting financially vulnerable women and providing continued funding to individuals and our project partners during this critical time.
Monthly financial support for our existing individual beneficiaries is continuing as normal.
You can read about our reassurance to our current partner organisations here: http://covid19funders.org.uk/.
Future funding
We continue to be in active conversations with stakeholders to consider how best to respond in the short, medium and longer term that will enable the Smallwood Trust to reach as many women as possible during this crisis. Further updates will be provided in due course.
If you are an existing beneficiary or grant holder and have any questions, again, please contact us at: info@smallwoodtrust.org.uk. Remember, we are here to help in whichever way we can. In the meantime, please take care and stay safe.
