Funds support the Fawcett Society to work with current Smallwood grant partners to centre the voices of women directly impacted by the issues they campaign on. In turn, this will build Fawcett’s capacity to work with experts by experience and adapt their whole organisational approach.
The Programme has 3 key aims…
1. Centre the voices of experts by experience from Smallwood’s grant partners by using peer research in Fawcett’s commission into public harms and the second phase of their research into the workplace experiences of women of colour, as well as their General Election campaigning
2. A central shift in Fawcett’s approach to centre experts by experience in their future strategy, using the project to underpin their 2023 five year strategy
3. Upskill staff with essential training in centring the voices of women with lived experience i.e. peer research skills
