Join Our Board: Trustee Recruitment Reopened

We are pleased to announce that applications to join the Smallwood Trust board have opened again.

The Smallwood Trust has been helping women out of poverty for more than a century. As we move towards our 135th anniversary in 2021 we are looking for additional board members who share our passion and who can help us accelerate our strategy to achieve a gender equal economy and society.

The board of the Smallwood Trust are seeking to appoint up to three board members who share the Trust’s aims, mission and values and feel able to make a contribution to the Trust’s future.

Whilst the board are seeking a broad range of skills and experience, they would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a track-record in the following areas:

• Insights into how to achieve policy change through advocacy and lobbying
• Strategic communications with experience of how to build consensus for social change through effective messaging
• Building contacts and connections within wider grant-making and philanthropic networks
• Investment and asset management
